Amit Ghosh is a seasoned real estate developer and licensed General Contractor (CGC1541020) with more than two decades of experience spanning construction, development, acquisitions, asset management, and real estate finance. He brings a unique combination of hands-on construction leadership, engineering expertise, and institutional investment experience to Altus Construction Group.
Throughout his career, Amit has led projects and investments across the full real estate life cycle, from evaluating opportunities and structuring acquisitions through design, budgeting, construction, financing, and final delivery. As a general contractor, he has managed ground-up and renovation projects across residential and commercial properties, overseeing subcontractors, procurement, schedules, budgets, lender coordination, and client relationships. His approach is grounded in disciplined project management, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering quality work on time and on budget.
Before focusing on construction and development, Amit held senior investment and asset management roles overseeing large, complex real estate portfolios. As Vice President at ROC Seniors, part of Bridge Investment Group, he helped direct asset management for a $730 million senior housing and medical real estate fund. Previously, as a Portfolio Manager at Ventas, a leading publicly traded healthcare REIT, he oversaw approximately $1.5 billion in real estate assets and executed operational and value-add strategies. He also co-founded Venue Investments, where he managed a $35 million real estate investment portfolio.
Amit’s technical and financial background shapes the way he approaches every project. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His engineering training provides a rigorous foundation for solving complex construction and operational challenges, while his investment experience brings a developer’s perspective to cost, risk, financing, and long-term value.
